I am a husband, who married well above his station, and a father to four wonderful children. I am a Pharmacist, specializing in pharmaceutical compounding, working for a Federally Qualified Health Center in Eastern Kentucky. I survived sudden cardiac arrest at the age of 36, while in the best shape I've been in since I was 18. I believe that most ailments can be controlled or eliminated with proper diet, exercise and self care. I try to implement and embody this philosophy when talking with my patients. As the great philosopher Ric Flair said, "If you're going to talk the talk, you better be able to walk the walk." Otherwise you lose all credibility with any advice you give. Surprisingly, as a pharmacist, I do not like medications. I think medication should only be used when unavoidable for a disease state, or temporarily when transitioning to a healthier lifestyle then discontinued when safe to do so. I was very athletic growing up, involved in multiple sports. During college my activity level dropped off, even more so when I started pharmacy school at the University of Kentucky. I was overweight, out of shape and living off of food that I won't look at now. I decided that something has to change so we decided to clean our diet up as a family. My activity level was still minimal, aside from working around the house and chasing babies, but I was still able to get down to 180 pounds at age 28 (down from 235 at 25). At age 34 I decided I needed to start strength training again, otherwise my kids (gymnasts) were going to be able to kick my rear soon. I knew enough about training from my younger days to know how to lift, but not enough to trust myself to not get hurt, or to develop a routine. I started working with a trainer and built a solid base, but after a few years our busy life caught up with me. I started building my home gym and bounced around from program to program, spinning my wheels. That's when I found Eo3 and started training instead of working out. I wanted to learn as much as I could about the world of fitness, programming and nutrition so I could help my family, friends, patients and continue to improve myself. That led me to enrolling in the Eo3 Coaching Program
